The waves functionality in Delivrd allows you to combine the several sales orders into a batch that is called "wave". As a result, you will be able to complete the pick/pack more efficiently, with better resource allocation, and integrate barcode scanning for picking verification.
This article assumes that you have already created and released several sales orders for the same product in Delivrd.
Creating a Wave
To create a wave for several order lines, follow these steps:
- In the navigation bar, click Outbound Processing > Waves.
- On the Waves List page that opens, click the plus sign to add a new wave.
- The Add New Wave page opens. It consists of two parts: Wave Creation Options and Set Wave Data. Under Wave Creation Options, fill in the following data:
- Maximum No. of Lines: Enter the number of order lines thart should be packed in this wave.
- Sales Channel: Select the sales channel for which you want to create a wave. As a result, Delivrd will add all orders for this channel to the wave.

4. Under Set Wave Data, fill in the following data:
- Courier: Select the courier that is relevant to this wave. If you have no courier records yet, you can create one by clicking Create Courier.

5. When ready, click Save.
As a result, the wave will appear in the waves list with the Draft status.

- Decide if you want to review the wave details or proceed directly to the release.
- The status of the wave will change to Released. After that, you can print the pick slip either by product or by order.
Batch Picking the Wave
Batch picking refers to a process where all pieces of each product in all the orders in the wave are picked at once (and not separately for each order). This saves time spent by pickers going back and forth to the same bin to pick the same product for different orders, but also requires another step - allocating the products to each sales order in the pack step.
Please note that for batch picking, you will need to select the appropriate barcode scanning option under Batch Pick in Settings.
To batch pick the wave, follow these steps:
- Under Actions, click Batch Picking to open the wave lines list.
2. The layout of the batch pick page that opens will depend on your choice under Batch Pick in Settings:
No Scanning
If you selected No Scanning under Batch Pick, there will be no scanning field. All you have to do is check the number of items to pick and click Submit.
Scan Bin
If you selected Scan Bin under Batch Pick, you will need to scan the barcode of the product bin in order to proceed. Then you should check the number of items to pick and click Submit.
Scan SKU/EAN

Scan both bin and SKU/EAN
If you selected Scan both bin and SKU/EAN under Batch Pick, you will need to scan the barcodes both of the product bin and SKU/EAN in order to proceed. Then you should check the number of items to pick and click Submit.
After you click Submit, the status of the wave will change to Picked.
Packing the Wave/Picking by Order

To pack the wave, follow these steps:

- In the upper-right corner of the wave lines list, hover over the ... button and choose Pack Wave.
3.
