In Delivrd, barcode scanning is integrated into any process you can think of - inventory management, receving purchase orders, issuing sales orders, managing serial numbers, and the picking/packing/shipping processes. In this article, we will focus on barcode scanning in inventory management.
Barcode Scanning in Inventory Management
To start scanning barcodes in inventory management in Delivrd, you first have to make sure that your products have barcode labels with unique number that identify each product. In Delivrd, that unique identifier is called SKU (stock keeping unit). The number on the barcode label that identifies the product should be entered in the relevant Delivrd product as an SKU.
When the SKU number in Delivrd is the same as the number on the product's barcode label, you can do the following:
- Scan the product in the search box of Delivrd’s Inventory List page.
- Delivrd will find the relevant product.
- After the product is found, you can perform any inventory transaction: inventory count, issue, receive, or transfer to another location.
